The Viking School store will be open during all lunch periods on Today! Using your PBIS App please take a look at the school store items prior to your purchase. Please have an idea of what you would like to purchase and check your voucher balance beforehand. You will be able to purchase 2 different items. Teachers working the store will call you up by table to purchase items. Keep up the great work earning vouchers!!

Viking girls soccer came up short in their semifinal match vs Antioch. The girls fought hard all game long and came close to making a comeback. The girls will play Grayslake in the third place game at Hunt Club.
Attention 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in Cheerleading and Poms: Tryouts start Tuesday, October 10, 2023. You must register on-line at d56.org. Tryouts will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30 – 4:30 in the gyms at Viking. You must have a current physical on file with the nurse in order to tryout. Bring gym shoes, shorts, shirt, water bottle, a mask and any other equipment you might need. Please have your rides at Viking no later than 4:30. See Mr. Streicher, Mrs. Ames or Ms. Griffin if you have any questions.
Cross Country competed at the conference meet last night in Antioch. It was a hot, sunny evening however our runners were on fire as well! Participating in the varsity race for Viking was Gordie, Wrigley, Braden, George, Chase, Sebastian and Marcus who placed 6th over all with a time of 12:35 on the 2 mile course. For girls varsity, we had Abigail, Ellie, Damiya, Paige, Sunny, Anna and Nora represent Viking. Sunny placed 24th, Anna 15th and Nora 7th finishing with a time of 14:20 on the 2 mile course. Coach Szostak and Coach Graham want to congratulate and thank all of our runners on an extremely enjoyable season filled with hard work, laughter and many memories.
