Being a part of Do Re Mi is as easy as 1, 2, 3! If you are a parent of a child in the Gurnee District 56 Band Program, you are automatically a member of the Do Re Mi Band Boosters!
Do Re Mi has several officers and committee chairpersons that meet with the three band directors once a month. All band parents welcome and are encouraged to attend. The Do Re Mi board functions through various committees. These committees include things such as:
Trivia Night
Raffles
Music In The Parks
Spirit Wear/Apparel Sales
To ensure a successful band program in Gurnee, all Do Re Mi members can find a committee to support either by volunteering your time, attending a fundraiser, donating your resources, bringing in baked goods or chaperoning an event. We hope every parent will be an active member of Do Re Mi. We know you will find the experience both rewarding and fun.

What is the money raised by Do Re Mi used for?
Gurnee School District 56 provides a high quality music education to around 200 5th-8th grade students each year. Do Re Mi helps raise funds to support their musical endeavors. Your contributions could help purchase items like these:

$50 = Music Stand
$250 = Needs-Based Instrument Scholarship
$8 = Valve Oil for Brass Instruments
$80 = Individual Summer Lessons
$500 Sends a Student to Summer Band Camp
$15 = New Snare Drum Head

$8,000 = Partially Funds 7th/8th Grade Band Trip
