Mr. Watt

Watt, Daniel - 6th Science

Hello Viking families! I'm delighted to be of service to you this school year as you begin your academic journey through Viking School.

Originally an aviation meteorologist for a local big-name airline, my career has taken me through the corporate environment for almost sixteen years, both as a meteorologist and as a Quality Assurance manager.  Ultimately, my career path led me to teaching, providing me with the chance to work with students of all ages as we grow together to make it a better world for all of us.  I look forward to working with your child as we both learn about and, hopefully, stoke an interest in the Sciences.

Monthly Newsletter

October-November Newsletter 2022

The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, the holidays are just around the corner and we completed a 2nd month of school. We’re well into our astronomy unit and should begin getting into other aspects of astronomy, such as rockets, the planets, and the other stars around the universe! We will be doing a modified version of the Space Shuttle project where students will have the chance to create a Google slide dedicated to one of the 135 NASA Space Shuttle missions. They will build their slide or keynote dedicated to the men and women who served on a specific shuttle mission.

Parent teacher conferences are coming up soon. Have you signed up with your homeroom teacher yet? There are some spaces available. Please visit my webpage to sign up for conferences with me, or visit the district website to sign up with other teachers. You may also call the office to schedule an appointment. I’d enjoy meeting with you!
