ABOUT MS. SZOSTAK
This is my 5th year teaching at Viking (6th overall).
I was born and raised here in Gurnee. I am a proud Warren grad. Go Blue Devils!
I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Secondary Education. ILL-INI
In my free time I enjoy puzzling & being active: running, biking, and hiking.
I coach Cross Country and Track & Field at Viking.
I love traveling and exploring new cities! I'm always in search of the best restaurants, coffee shops & new plants!

Homework: Please visit your Google Classroom page for homework assignments.
Please note that ALL students are expected to record their daily homework assignments (agenda, iPad reminders, calendar, etc) while in class. Talk with your child to find a system that works best for them!

MATH CLASS E-LEARNING DAY
In the event of an extended school closure, Gurnee District 56 will be implementing it's e-learning program.
Please see your Google Classroom page for the day's e-learning lesson directions and materials. It should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. It is a required lesson. Please turn in all work for today's lesson to by clicking here to receive credit for the e-learning session.
Lessons may include:
Watching/listening to video notes and completing an accompanying worksheet
Completing a practice assignment on IXL or Delta Math
Taking a checkpoint & submitting it to Ms. Szostak
I will be available via email to answer any questions that arise. My working hours will align with a traditional school day 7:15 - 2:45.
