I am excited to be returning to River Trail staff this year as the School Social Worker.  I have a variety of experiences in social work and love working with students.  My husband and I live in Gurnee with our two children.

Welcome to Mrs. Roy's website!  I love working at River Trail School as the School Social Worker.

As a school social worker, I work with students and teachers to support social and emotional learning while at school.  I provide a variety of services in the building, including Character Education classroom lessons, crisis intervention, direct services individually and in small groups, and consultation with teachers.  Direct services focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, coping with stress, and developing problem-solving skills.  In addition, I work with parents to help them identify and access school and community resources.
