Directions

Below is where students will have access to their E-Learning assignments if an E-Learning day has been called for.

During an E-Learning Day, your child must complete the assignments that are posted in their Google Classroom. Below, there is a link to take your child to our Google Classroom (they will need to be logged into their school account to access our Google Classroom).

Homework Assignments

Your child will have homework every night; it is made up of two parts. One part is math, your child will have four math problems to solve each night. The math is split into four boxes labeled "Day 1", "Day 2", "Day 3", and "Day 4". The expectation is that your child completes the problems from "Day 1" on Monday, the problems from "Day 2" on Tuesday, the problems from "Day 3" on Wednesday, and the problems from "Day 4" on Thursday. Your child is more than welcome to work ahead. Homework will be turned in on Fridays so there will be no homework over the weekend.

The second part of your child’s homework is reading. Your child should read every night. The more your child reads the more words they are exposed to; therefore, expanding their vocabulary. Your child should choose a book that interests them and that they can read independently. Ideally, your child should read for 20 minutes every night; they can read on their own or out loud to you, a sibling, or a pet. Each night your child should keep track of how long they read. After reading, your child should fill in their reading log. Your child should color one small block for every minute that they read. At the end of the week the goal is that they read 80 minutes; they can always read more.
