Hello! I’m Krista Wyman. This is my 19 year as an educator. I began my career at Viking Middle School where I taught 6th grade math for five years. For 12 years I was the Advanced Academics teacher at Prairie Trail School.
I graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with minors in Math & Adaptive Education. In 2009, I completed a Masters of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. I completed coursework for my Masters of Education in Educational Technology through Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2022, I completed my Library Information Specialist endorsement through University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
My husband, Jerry Wyman, is a retired Social Worker at Viking Middle School. We are the proud parents of two children - Sophie (11) and Paul (10) - who keep us on our toes at all times.
I’m an avid cook and elaborate recreations of haute cuisine often messy up our kitchen. I love to travel, mostly to MLB ballparks; we have visited 15 of 30. Also, I’m a self-confessed tech nerd and love finding new ways to integrate it to my class.
