Glenn Eikenberry graduated with a degree in music education from the University of Illinois in 2010, where he played trumpet in symphonic bands, jazz bands, several small ensembles, and the Marching Illini. In 2016, he completed his Masters of Music Education through Bowling Green State University, where he completed action research regarding student practice behaviors in his own classroom. Before coming to District 56, Glenn taught beginning and middle school band for 3 years in Benton, Illinois. In addition to teaching, he has performed with the Chicago Metropolitan Brass Ensemble, Marlon Stevens Salsa band, and he currently plays with the North Suburban Wind Ensemble and the Wheaton Municipal Band. Glenn also composes and arranges for young musicians.
